We have a full set of weld procedures and our fitters have attended training courses for the systems on which they are working. This is particularly important for fusion welded plastics such as HDPE and MDPE. The company is RGI certified for work on gas and our fitters are certified as well.
Recent projects would include: Four & Five Park Place, Dublin (20,000 m2 Grade A Office Block), MSD BioNX, Dunboyne (Pipework for Clean Room installation), Primark Belfast (Landmark store rebuilt after major fire).
VENTILATION & AIR CONDITIONING
Ventilation systems ranging from simple toilet extracts to large scale Tier 4 Data Centres to complex pharmaceutical and clean room installations are part of our core services.
We are very experienced in coordination of complex ductwork arrangements and have devised efficient installation methods for fast-track delivery to a very high standard. Our installations are carried out in accordance with DW144 and or the relevant EN standards.
All our coordinators use Revit and the ability to visualise complex installations in 3D ensures smoother site installations and expedited installation times. Fire safety standards are being continuously improved and we work closely with other trades on site to ensure full compliance to the satisfaction of the entire design team.
We have carried out VRF installations using both electric and gas fired heat pumps. Comms rooms, IDF Rooms and MDF Rooms for many financial institutions and information technology companies have been fitted out by us with close control units, CRAC units, simple Split units.
More recently we have installed 4-pipe multi-function chillers on schemes, which has enabled a fully electric heating and cooling solution, achieving LEED gold & platinum ratings.
Examples of recent large-scale ventilation and air conditioning projects would include: Hyperscale Data Centres in Dublin for US Multinational clients, Extension to Kerrygold Mitchelstown, LIDL Distribution Centre Mullingar, Termini Office Development Dublin
Modern methods of construction and off-site fabrication are becoming more common on projects. We have promoted these techniques where value can be added to a job in the form of financial savings or accelerated programmes. The use of packaged plantrooms, skid mounted equipment and modularised assemblies is being examined and incorporated on all projects.
Energy efficiency, reduced carbon footprint and improved air quality are becoming more important on projects following the Covid pandemic and the urgency to address global warming issues. We installed plasma ionisers as part of the fan coil installation on a recent contract. The ionisers neutralise air borne bacteria and contaminants.
Although much of our work is carried out to designs from Consulting Engineers, there are occasions where we have undertaken design build contracts. We have an in-house team of design engineers with supporting BIM and Revit operators.
We carry Professional Indemnity Insurance to cover our design work.
Examples of Design Build projects would include healthcare projects for private hospitals, Data Centres, Commercial Office Developments and Energy Saving projects.
Our experienced Revit operators have fulfilled roles as lead services coordinator on BIM projects as well as generation of mechanical models for input to a federated model and subsequent clash detection.
