Lynskey Engineering were engaged by Veolia in 2014 to complete the design and build packages for three separate sites in Marino, Ard Scoil Ris, Scoil Mhuire both of which are on Griffith Avenue and Marino Institute of Education.
· The brief in Ard Scoil Ris was to remove existing primary oil fired heating plant and to install new high efficiency gas fired condensing boilers and associated pumps and equipment. Thermostatic radiator valves were provided throughout the school to improve the level of control available to the staff.
· In Scoil Mhuire the works included the conversion of the existing oil fired boiler to natural gas and to install new thermostatic radiator valves.
· In Marino institute of Education refurbishment works were undertaken in four boiler rooms, installing high efficiency gas fired condensing boilers, solar hot water systems, new high efficiency gas fired hot water heaters and an integrated control system which provided individual heating control and monitoring to each room across the campus.
Following the successful completion of this project Veolia manage the energy requirements for MIE utilising the systems provided to assist the occupants minimise the energy consumed.
